The way devices communicate and interact has changed drastically now that Internet of Things technology is being used in telecommunication networks. Telecom companies are discovering all sorts of possibilities when they use IoT. They can manage their networks efficiently and give their customers a better experience. With IoT connectivity is getting a boost making it easy for devices to send data to each other no matter how apart they are or how many there are. This is not making things run smoothly but its also opening the door to some really exciting new developments, in areas, like smart cities, healthcare and automated factories.
The advantages of incorporating IoT into GSM networks are clear. There are some hurdles to overcome. For one the security of these networks is a worry since all the extra devices being added create opportunities for hackers to strike. On top of that getting solutions up. Running demands serious upgrades, to the network infrastructure just to keep up with the massive amounts of data flying around. Then there's the issue of compliance, which can be a minefield. Telecom companies have to deal with a tangle of different laws in different regions all while making sure they're meeting the standards, for protecting peoples private data.
The future looks bright, for IoT as its likely to have a impact on improving GSM network capabilities. Now that 5G technology is here the possibilities for IoT are huge. We're talking speeds that're faster than ever latency thats basically nonexistent and connections that are more reliable. This means telecom networks will be able to handle a lot data, which will pave the way for real time analytics and the development of next generation IoT services. Things, like cities and advanced health monitoring systems could become a reality changing the way we live and work in some significant ways.
